Must Try: Restaurant Sinclair x Montreal En Lumiere

Old Montreal’s beautiful Restaurant Sinclair and Montreal En Lumiere have partnered up to create a two night-only, extremely special tasting menu. Since the common theme around Montreal En Lumiere seems to be centred around Argentina, the menu was created respecting the culinary delights of that country.

If you are not familiar with Sinclair, the restaurant focuses on local produce of high quality for their contemporary cuisine. The notable aspect? Every day provides a different tasting menu! Their dishes always seem to be infused with constant artistry, great imagination and the presentation is always exquisite.

Another thing we really appreciate about Sinclair is their attention to detail with their service and the in-depth knowledge in their wine and food pairings – perfect for those of us that aren’t necessarily big vino experts.

The setting is very chic and luxurious but feels relaxed, adding less pressure to have to wear a full-on suit and bowtie, gentleman (but they are always welcome!).

Now back to the Montreal En Lumiere special tasting menu. There will be two chefs creating amazing dishes for both of the nights: Chef Stelio Perombelon, who is Sinclair’s head man, and Chef Jason Cichonski, making a very special appearance in their kitchen all the way from Philadelphia’s ultra-cool Restaurant Ela. Chef Jason will be very hands-on in the kitchen and will be showcasing guests never-before-seen food techniques, such as foie gras mousse.

The eclectic seven-course tasting menu will feature dishes like Royal Miyagi oyster with whipped sun choke, black cod with smoked beets, kumquat and sourdough bubbles, Guinea hen with parsnip-coconut purée, Brussels sprouts and Ceyland cinnamon, and much more! The menu will come paired with an Argentinian-themed wine, of course.

Space is very limited and the special menu is available tonight and tomorrow night only.
