Old Montreal’s new sake bar and izakaya, KYO Bar Japonais, will have its official exclusive grand opening on Thursday, June 20th, hosted by yours truly.
On June 20, the new Izakaya situated in Old Montreal’s Le Place d’Armes Hôtel & Suites, brought to us by Groupe Antonopoulos, the hospitality team behind Old Montreal’s most exciting eateries, unveils its menu of Japanese fare and extensive sake list. The beautiful space features a mix of high and low seating, a sushi counter, and an impressively-stocked bar that includes over 25 varieties of sake, and will definitely give young professionals something to stick around for. As for its edibles, veteran sushi chef Terrence “Ding” Tinghas crafted a menu that embraces the best of Japanese comfort food, but with an air of sophistication and more than a few surprises.
