Must Attend: A Little Burgundy Affair

On Thursday, July 31st from 6pm-11pm, Southwestites* will join forces in the Ste-Cunégonde Park (Notre-Dame Ouest) for the fundraising launch of La Maison des Jeunes (St-Henri). Here's why you should attend

On Thursday, July 31st from 6pm-11pm, Southwestites* will join forces in the Ste-Cunégonde Park (Notre-Dame Ouest) for the fundraising launch of La Maison des Jeunes (St-Henri).

A Little Burgundy Affair will feature a variety of local bar and food stands including items from Lili and Oli, Le Cheese, Green Spot, Le Kitchen, Pops Arts, and Burgundy Lion, amongst others. Furthermore, there will be games for the children, live music from local artists such as Geoffry Sauvé (La Voix) and Jyraph, a silent auction, and a live date auction where local singles will be auctioned off.

So what is the money being raised for, exactly? La Maison des Jeunes, a St-Henri youth organization which, after almost 35 years, is being forced to relocate or rebuild.

The tricky part? The estimated cost is approximately $800,000 and they have only two years to raise the funds.

Many local businesses in St-Henri have rounded up their support for the Maison des Jeunes, including Rona and Joe Beef, and we would love to see you all there – whether you are a Southwestite or not – to support this amazing cause and enjoy a community evening full of fun, great food and drinks and a group of wonderful people.
