On Friday, February 24th, Calgary’s outgoing professional crowd will return to Old Hollywood at the 3rd annual motionball Gala: Victory at the Flames Central in Calgary. This year’s motionball will include a crowd of like-minded and driven young professionals brought together for an evening of networking, mingling and a good cause. The VIP reception will run from 7:30-9pm and includes gourmet appetizers, a full complimentary bar until midnight, a specialty martini bar and a performance by Woodhouse Big Band. There will be VIP Upper Level Bar access all night. At 9:00, the doors open for the Hollywood Glam ‘40’s theme, live entertainment with Canadian R&B star Jully Black, an Under Armour underwear fashion show, complimentary drinks until midnight, a midnight dessert buffet and a silent auction sure to impress.
Motionball is a non-profit organization that benefits the Special Olympics Canada Foundation (SOCF) — a charity whose objective is to provide funding for athlete and volunteer recruitment and training for each provincial and territorial chapter —through a series of nationwide sporting and social events, including the Motionball Gala. Motionball continues to thrive in their efforts to educate, integrate and celebrate, encouraging Canadians YPs to come together and raise funds and awareness of the Special Olympics in Canada. The best part? Guests get to mingle directly with the athletes they support.
