Amongst shisha aficionados, this is usually the favourite spot for high quality shisha. The service is at its finest and they are never skimpy on the coals. Located right in the heart of downtown Montreal, this is a very hot and convenient spot to go for an after-work shisha session with some colleagues or friends.
Kafein Cafe & Bar – 1429 Bishop
Not only is Kafein notable for it’s shisha lounge on the bottom floor of this two-story Cafe and bar, but they are also notable in the downtown area for both their food and cocktail menus. They use fresh organic ingredients and every dish and drink is crafted with quality and dedication. The shisha lounge is the most standout part of this hot spot, offering up live music or hot DJs in a low-lighted, comfortable atmosphere for drinks and generous bowls of flavoured tobacco.
Orienthe Tea Lounge – 4511 Saint Denis
This is also one of our favourite Montreal hookah hangouts and the most fun is that they require you to take off your shoes before entering (very authentic!). In the summer, the outside terrace is a popular hang out amongst Orienthe regulars. But on top of excellent shisha, Orienthe is known for it’s Moroccan mint tea, which is a must-have when sitting down for a good hookah session.
Habibi – 1172 Bishop St.
This is a popular hookah spot not only for the amazing shisha and vibe, but also for the Lebanese fare. Located by the Bell Centre, this two-floor restaurant/hookah bar offers traditional grilled meat plates with hummus or baba ghanoush along with amazing shisha selections. This is a hotspot for hockey goers after games and is usually packed most evenings. The décor is authentic and the experience is one not to miss.
