More Than 350 Professional Models Will Invade Montreal Tomorrow

Organizers of the Fashion & Design Festival (FDF) will invade the Esplanade at Place Ville Marie for the largest outdoor model casting call held in Canada.

The Fashion & Design Festival takes place from August 20-23 and attracts around 550,000 visitors to the Quartier des spectacles, making it one of summer’s most celebrated and interactive events.

Some 350 professional models will strut their stuff before a jury tomorrow for the opportunity to be one of 80 who will be selected for the 14th edition of FDF and everyone is invited to check out the audition. Single Notables, this one may be for you.

This year, the jury will be comprised of renowned stylist Yso, spokesperson for the FDF Geneviève Borne, TV host and actor AngeLo Cadet, as well as artistic director and stylist Sophie Lanza.

The models attending the casting represent 20 of the largest model agencies in Montreal and Ottawa, including NEXT, Montage, Specs, Folio, Dulcedo, Scoop and many others.

So note this: Tomorrow, 11am to 6pm at Esplanade at Place Ville Marie (near the fountain). In case of rain, the event will move indoors at 1 Place Ville Marie, local 1901 (19th floor).

Get your cameras and phonebooks ready.
