MOON Apparel’s Menswear Collection Launches

Malaparte at Toronto’s TIFF Bell Lightbox was swimming with the cream of the cream – it really doesn’t work when not in French, eh? – sorry, creme de la creme of Toronto’s fashion and events scenes on Thursday for the launch of MOON Apparel‘s menswear collection. O&B’s hors d’oeuvres circulated, glasses of wine were clinked, and the MOON signature cocktail was sipped while the room was observantly loud with the chatter of fashionistas/os.

What MOON Apparel, designed mostly by brother/sister team Tamara and Jordin Mimran, has done for womenswear they have now accomplished for men. Bringing on-trend fashion at affordable prices for the style-conscious consumer is what MOON Apparel has done excellently since launching its women’s collections, and now the gents can take note as well.

There are over 30 styles to the men’s line, and a clear focus on contemporary but classic and well-tailored fits is evident. From trousers to shirts to trenches to blazers, MOON’s men’s line has a great selection of coordinates and pieces to update any fellow’s Fall wardrobe.

The women’s Fall/Winter 2011 collection also showed during the “casual catwalk,” and there were some beautiful pieces that caught the crowd’s attention. Whispers and murmurs were heard when a gold sequin skirt walked by – clearly a going-out must-have – and the overall colour palette was similar to the men’s, with blacks, greys, navys and tans being dominant.

MOON Apparel is available exclusively at The Bay, and the menswear collection has started rolling out to stores.
