Montreal’s music scene is on the rise and occupying one of its top slots is DJ JoJo Flores. The perk of this is having your very own birthday party made into a city-wide event. 10 GOTSOUL presents the Mr.V and JoJo Flores Birthday Bash, and what a celebration it will be.

JoJo Flores’ annual birthday is said to have provided our city some extremely memorable nights, and last time these two table-spinning kings played alongside each other, the dance floor almost lit on fire. This time it just might actually happen. Two styles, two birthdays, one party to celebrate the end of your workweek.

SUNDAY
Our city lives for brunch on Sundays and we are always looking for new places and menus to get our day started. We recently visited “Park,” executive chef Antonio Park’s healthy Asian-inspired homemade fare stomping ground in the modern Victoria Park complex. The dishes are made with the freshest and highest quality ingredients available and that applies to its brunch menu just as much. With offerings named Bibimbap and JapChae, amongst others, you know you are in for something exciting…not to mention healthy. Brunch ends at 2pm and gets very busy, make sure you arrive early.

With the weather getting quite frosty and Montreale’s looking for more options to spend time indoors, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts is always a lovely option, especially with the History of Impressionism: Great French Paintings from the Clark exhibit currently occupying its space. After having been seen by art lovers around the world, the showcase finally made its Canadian premiere in Montreal. It is a great privilege for our city to be the sole Canadian venue for this historic tour, which will also travel from Europe to Asia. What can you expect? Seventy-four paintings by Bonnard, Corot, Degas, Gauguin, Manet, Millet, Monet, Morisot, Pissarro, Sisley and Toulouse-Lautrec, including a selection of twenty-one outstanding canvases by Renoir…an art lover’s dream and a superb selection for those of us that don’t frequent these often.
