THURSDAY
Today, for a third season, La Grande Dégustation de Montreal starts up again and will heat up the fall season for amateurs of wine and spirits. This year the event will take place at the Place Bonaventure for two days on November 8th and 9th. Nearly 200 producers of wines and spirits from across the globe have already confirmed their attendance and the event encourages wine and spirit aficionados and professionals to come together and mingle. Visitors will benefit from an unforgettable, interactive experience filled with a calendar rich in festivities including group events, tastings, the Chardonnay awards and much more!

In the mood for hockey? FRIDAY
Fashion lovers! Here is your chance to discover the unique path of Rad Hourani, his influences, his passions and his work. Phi Centre is hosting a conference led by Cheryl Sim, a doctoral student in Études et pratiques des arts at UQAM and curator at DHC/ART, whose work focuses on the role of clothing in forming and representing identity. After the conference, there will be a Q&A with Rad Hourani. It’s Club Peopl’s 1st anniversary celebration tonight and what better way to rejoice than to bring two of the best djs out there, Mark Farina and Louie Vega, to Montreal! If dancing is on the agenda tonight, or you want to come toast with our dear friend JoJo Flores since it’s also his birthday celebration, this is the spot to be! From Montreal to Tokyo, New York to Monaco, The Boogie Wonder Band have performed over 2500 shows in the past 10 years, have played to over two and a half million spectators in over 450 cities around the world. Tonight they will showcase their passion for the music from the 70s and 80s, bringing a spotlight back on disco, baby! These guys have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in disco and funk, such as Rick James, Kool & the Gang, Earth Wind & Fire and more… so you know this will be a good one. SATURDAY
The BJM Soiree Contact put on by the young leaders of BJM – Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal –is a unique fundraising event with a strong artistic flair taking place tonight that promises to be a night of dancing alongside the BJM dancers, DJ Vincent Lemieux and culinary innovators Tripes & Caviar. Expect a crowd full of YP movers and shakers… basically the ideal night out to socialize and network. All funds raised will go towards the Eva Von Gencsy fund supporting the training of emerging Quebec dancers.

The unique and beautiful Opera De Montreal is back with Falstaff, a story about an old, pot-bellied Sir John Falstaff who still thinks of himself as a great ladies’ man, sending out identical love letters to married women. But the merry wives decide to take revenge on the old man and… well you’ll find out. This is comic gold, an energetic musical farce in which every note comes out like a burst of laughter, a truly ideal masterpiece for even those new to the opera.

SUNDAY

With the weather getting progressively colder and colder, Sundays are always a great day to relax, breathe, read a book and drink a lovely cup of chai latte. Why not spend a part of the day catching up on some majorly needed chill time at one these cafes, and then take a stroll at Westmount’s glorious Summit Park? With the leaves all kinds of dreamy colours, the park is a great escape to soak in nature and the last of the sunshine. Notable aspect?
