THURSDAY
Ladies, if there is one networking event that you need to attend, it’s the Women in Business 2012 presented by Apollo! Apollo Thursdays is dedicated to women that have strived to succeed, such as actresses, photographers, vice presidents and business leaders, singers and more. These women all share a common thing: their contribution to the business world leaves a distinctive mark. This is a great chance to socialize and make contacts in the great space of Loft Le 4 Eme in Old Montreal.

Degustation A La Porto, the first ever event for Porto, is taking place tonight at the scenic and modern F Bar by Ferreira. The tasting menu at The Porto is a creation of chef Gilles Herzog, who has selected five courses that will be announced on the evening of the event. Melina Tanguay, a sommelier renowned for his knowledge of Portuguese port wines, will be on site meeting guests and responding to questions. This will be an evening full of great wine, food and prizes!

eFashionista is back with their oh-so-girsly themed events. This time it’s the Luxe Lingerie Event for Bra Snobs. There will be a whimsical platform of bra-inspired florals, designer cookie pops, tea-infused cocktails and, of course, lingerie! Last time we learned how to walk in heels by an expert, this time we will be schooled on how to choose the perfect luxe bra with Marie-Ange Sabati, a Parisian lingerie expert, how to enhance your cleavage and care for your luxe lingerie by Flaunt Essentials, how to wear, pose and walk in luxe lingerie with Chantal Perron and Tina Karr. Talk about being a lady 101! The bonus? The first 15 fashionistas to purchase tickets will be offered Butter London lacquers from their Autumn/Winter collection. For tickets and info click here.

FRIDAY
We Are Young,” the 7-year anniversary of Suite 701, a lobby and wine bar converted into a spiffy lounge where young professionals frequent all the time, is happening tonight. Sponsored by MÖET & CHANDON, the night will feature a special three-course menu for very generous prices with beats spinning by Montreal’s dance music star, DJ JoJo Flores. It’s that time again; one of our all-time favorite charity events in Montreal is back! Kids for Kids presents Enchanted Garden, where over 1000 party-goers will come together to celebrate Kids for Kids’ 20th anniversary. With so much to celebrate, this year’s Kids for Kids Gala promises to be the best year yet, benefiting the Cedars Cancer Institute. Very few tickets left and available here.

SATURDAY
Do you have a photographic eye or just love looking at wonderful images? Photodocumentary: Fundraising Event takes place at Laika, a see-and-be-seen lounge and restaurant on St. Laurent. It’s an evening of creative fundraising among friends, artists and photographers. This fundraising event is to help raise funds for a four-month volunteering and photo project in Ecuador. The aim of the project is to give indigenous communities a lending hand by performing such tasks as rebuilding community areas, teaching kids, and feeding animals. By the use of Mei Lai On’s camera lenses, she will present a story through the eyes of the people, and create meaningful portraits and landscape shots. The party will only take place tonight but you can donate from now until the goal is achieved. For information click here.

If you have the dancing itch tonight, check out GotSoul Sessions presenting world famous Rani G and JoJo Flores hosted by Anissa & Man Claudy at Peopl. If you haven’t heard of Rani, you are truly missing out. He is renowned around the world playing in different cities and venues with reputable DJs such as Mark Grant, Mark Farina, Jay Tripwire, Victor Simonelli, Master Kev and more. His association with Boddhi Satva (a Peopl. favourite) suggests quality music and pure entertainment.

Tonight, Hay Doun Mission will be hosting a sizzling event transporting us to the streets of Buenos Aires for Viva Tango! The non-profit organization has been supporting families in need since 2007. The celebratory soiree will be held at the beautiful Rialto Theatre, evoking all things Latin and Argentinean. To join in on this noche caliente, please click here.

SUNDAY
Our dear friends at The Segal Centre are hosting the Montreal premiere of six-time Tony Award-winning drama RED by John Logan. RED draws the audience into the studio of Abstract-Expressionist painter Mark Rothko in 1958, when the celebrated American artist was at the peak of his fame. Written by Academy-Award nominated screenwriter and playwright John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator), RED examines the nature of creation while painting an enthralling and vivid portrait of one of the great artists of the twentieth century. A deep and beautiful masterpiece and truly great way for YPs to spark their theatrical side. For information click here.

If dancing is on your mind but you’re too lazy to actually participate in it yourself, why not watch it? Roleplay and Big City Motor are performing tonight at Monument-National, the oldest functioning theater in Quebec located in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles. The presentation will feature Roleplay that will incorporate bright lights and upbeat music in a rotating stage where a quartet of dancers will move decisively and repetitively. Meanwhile Big City Motor will focus on exploring the body in perpetual motion through postmodern dance, extreme sports, parkour and street dance – a true beauty.
