Montreal Weekender: June 7 through 10, 2012

Thursday, June 7

It’s the first day of the start of a four-day fun parade here in Montreal. So much going on so let’s get started:

Moet & Chandon with its fabulous hosts Stevie B, Brahms Yaiche, Moti Meslati and Benjamin Bitton, unveils its own sandy beach in the middle of downtown starting on Thursday all the way until Sunday from 11am to 11pm. This will be a trendy setting where you can sip delicious champagne while lounging away on day beds. Montreal’s best local DJs will be spinning all day long. Situated on Peel at the Peel Paddock Event.

Thursday will feature Members Of The High Society Crew including Pat Boogie, Donald Lauture, Thomas H and Special K. This is the event to pass by every day, check out their Facebook page for more info and line-up.

Hugo Boss cordially invites you to celebrate The Grand Prix with an appearance by Vodafone McLaren Mercedes driver Jenson Button Thursday at 6pm at the Belvedere Room in The Montreal Science Centre of Old Port. There is also the famous “Don’t Tell My Booker” event presented by Moet & Chandon and KA Magazine. Starting at 7pm at Le Windsor, the VIP cocktail will feature live art by JESSGO, a live photo shoot by Nico Stinghe and music performances by Ashley King, Scarlett James, LIZZI, Dr.Draw and DJs JoJoFlores and Evalicious. To finish off the night, you have two options. The first is the official Grand Prix FAB BOSS starter party “Aperitif” featuring the legendary Dmitri From Paris at KOKO. Friday, June 8

You can start off Friday with some free events taking place on Montreal’s most famous party street.

The block will be full of exotic cars and pure madness featuring some of Montreal’s party favourites such as the Hype Energy Drink Booth full of pretty Hype Girls, free drinks, all day DJs and a one-of-a-kind F3 Model. Check out the schedule here.

For the evening, get your dresses and fancy shoes ready for the F1 Film & Fashion Party presented by Toronto’s Pulp & Fiber and Montreal’s FAB Boss. Live the experience at Montreal’s coolest party on Friday night featuring music and video by GRAND THEFT. Celebrity fashion and film personalities will be attending. Tickets are $125 here.

Saturday, June 9

This is one busy day and night. There are so many great events going on it’s truly hard to pick a favourite.

Let’s begin with the daytime parties. First up is Matinee presenting their party “PRIMO” at Cafeteria. The party starts at 2pm and goes until 8. Front and center of all of the Grand Prix action, the scene will be set at one of Montreal’s premiere landmarks on the main, Cafeteria. Joining the Matinee crew for this incredible event will be some of Montreal’s top promoters, like Shai Jay, Raffi J, and Lc Yul. There is also the Official New York Style BAGATELLE Brunch Party.
Straight from New York, Los Angeles, St. Barths, and Turks and Caicos, this famous brunch party is taking over the KOKO Terrace on Saturday. Brunch starts at 11am and goes until 3pm; then the party goes from 3 until 6pm featuring DJ Stan Courtois (NYC). Tickets are $50 with tax & tip included. For the exclusive types, Cirque du Soleil Founder Guy Laliberté’s private party is always the talk of town. He is known for throwing ultra-exclusive parties and pulling out all the stops. Full of A-List celebrities, business leaders and generally the who’s who, if you are invited you will be lucky enough to experience things like chocolate fountains and contortionists. Can’t give away any contact details here so if you know the right people, you might be able to get on the guest list last minute.

The night is host to three great parties. The Nuits Magiques Party is hosted by the people from Bagatelle, Uniq Lifestyle and Dynamite Productions and will be an unforgettable night under the stars at the KOKO Terrace. The Official Lamborghini Montreal F1 Party will take place at the La Coupole inside the Hotel Le Crystal. Featuring music by DJ Domenic Pandolfo, a big array of VIP Guests (Carmen Electra was last year’s eye candy) and a very exclusive car you will not want to miss. New City Gas in association with Belvedere Vodka, Bal en Blanc and Prodkt present the world famous David Guetta bringing the house down. This will be jam packed if it isn’t sold out yet so check for tickets asap here.

Sunday, June 10

We know Sunday is usually for nap time, an over extended brunch or just lounging at the park, but even we’re putting on our dancing shoes and heading to the OFFICIAL Grand Prix 2012 Closing Party presented by CODE 20. KOKO Restaurant & Bar will be home to some of house music’s greatest legendary DJs, including Tony Humphries, Alain Vinet and a very special Grammy-nominated DJ that our little source tells us starts with a D…but that’s all we can give away for now.
