The wonders of Cirque Du Soleil touch ground in their hometown of Montreal with Saltimbanco. The show explores the urban experience in all its forms: the people who live there, their differences and likenesses, families and groups, the hustle and bustle of the street and the towering heights of skyscrapers. Saltimbanco takes viewers on an illustrative and acrobatic journey into the heart of the city. The show’s eclectic cast of characters draws spectators into a dreamlike world and city where diversity is a cause for hope. As always, a show that will stay in your memory for a long time! 

The world is ending as the Mayans know it, so why not go out with 700 other Montrealers in the EVICTION.NOTICE 2012 event? It features three rooms, 16 DJs, sculpture and performance art by Peter Schmittson, live art by our friend Antoine Tavaglione and interactive art by BID Kit GLOW.TO.THE.END   and, of course, everyone’s favourite, Hype Energy & Aqua Hydrate will be on premise quenching the thirst away. SATURDAY
A holiday circus? Thanks to Timber by Tohu, that wish just came true. Cirque Alphonse sets up its lumberjack camp in the large auditorium full of beautiful moments of warmth and joy, breathtaking acrobatics and the comical traditional Quebecois music. To celebrate the Quebecois roots in a contemporary way, Timber brought authenticity, complete with saws and check red shirts all in one great masterpiece of performances. What to expect? A fascinating production full of lunatics…

The M Ball is back and promises to blow your mind! The event will be celebrating the arrival of the holidays and the end of the Mayan calendar. The atmosphere will be glamorous and enchanting in an evening with plenty of visual stimulation. The Ball has been an opportunity for over 1300 people to celebrate the magic and allure of Christmas. It is also a time to help a cause raising funds for the Fondations des Artistes, an organization whose mission is to alleviate poverty, in particular by providing emergency financial assistance to professional artists living in a crisis situation. Music will be provided by some of Montreal’s best and Notable finalists, including DJ Abeille and Thomas H. There will be a red carpet, live painting by Fluke, a mulled wine bar to heat things up and surprise performances!

SUNDAY
Sunday is Christmas brunch day! BAXO is holding Les 44 Bestise de Noel Brunch today. With $30 a head, you will be getting a young professional brunch dream! With a 5-dish menu, including oysters, mixed salad platters, pancakes, waffles, French toast, a hangover tray including bacon, sausage, cheese curds and a desert tray presented by Croosticho, to name just a few of the goodies, this is well worth the price. And if you really want to spring into the holiday season with style, their bottle menu starts at 12am!

Feeling full from the above? Come join the fun during the Old Montreal’s Extravaganza festivities in the Rallye Bottine. This fun time is comprised of a simple game with all the smallest details hidden among Christmas decorations in the Old Montreal. Each participating team will be given a questionnaire and a map of Old Montreal and will then search for answers. All you will have to do is to get to the targeted places and search for clues by looking at sculptures, historical monuments and Christmas decorations. A great activity for you and you friends, family or colleagues to bond, learn about Old Montreal, and re-live your childhood.
