As summer is quickly closing in on us, it’s only fair that we all pack up our weekend bags and head up north to enjoy the sun and warmth before we forge into the Fall/Winter Seasons. We have a superb weekend in the Laurentians planned out for you to do just that, from amazing restaurants to hiking and biking trails, your notable weekend is the perfect way to cap off an amazing summer.
On Friday after work, pack up your car and head up north via Highway 15 to The Grand Lodge in the middle of the Mont Tremblant Golf and Ski area on the shores of Lake Ouimet, which will be your bunking up headquarters for the entire weekend. Unpack, unwind, and cook yourself dinner in.
Saturday is your day to discover Mont Tremblant’s outdoor life. But before you do, you absolutely must stop at Creperie Catherine in the heart of the Tremblant village. This is one of the more famous spots for crepes in all of Quebec. Next, head over to Mont Tremblant’s Bike Rental station and spend the afternoon discovering the multitude of trails for all levels in the region.
For dinner, book yourself a table at Le Cheval de Jade (688 Saint-Jovite), a restaurant acclaimed as one of the best French restaurants in Quebec (at par with some of the best French restaurants in Paris). The daring chef there, along with his charming wife, will prepare you a culinary experience that will blow your mind. Dance the night away after dinner at the famous Le P’tit Caribou bar right in the heart of the village. This spot is known across the country to be one of the most notable ski lodge bars around. They are packed every night and always feature amazing DJs and beautiful people.
Start your Sunday off with a dip in the lake and then hop in your car and head to Scandinave Spa Mont Tremblant (4280 Montee Ryan) and experience outdoor Scandinavian baths, steams, and spa treatments fit for the overworked young professional that you are. By the time you get home you will be well fed, well exercised, and well relaxed and ready for another week at the office.
