Elevator Pitch: Describe your business in a nutshell.
The primary focus of my work is to deliver results-driven, creative PR and marketing strategies for clients in the fashion, lifestyle and hospitality industries. I leverage my longstanding industry partnerships to connect clients to their target audience.
Why did you start your business, what was the inspiration?
My dad inspired me to start my own business. As an entrepreneur himself, he taught me to be independent and self-sufficient. My goal of owning my own business came into fruition when I seized a fortunate opportunity to work with several well-established companies.
What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis? The most challenging part?
I love the people I connect with on a daily basis and enjoy the fast-paced atmosphere of my work, as I’m constantly learning and being inspired by individuals in the industry. The diversity of the clients I work with is what keeps me energized day-to-day. Working with clients across Canada allows me to travel as well, which I love. A challenging aspect to my work is the risk I take as an entrepreneur and having to manage my business independently. But at the end of the day, my clients keep me on my toes, inspiring and motivating me.
Where do you see your business going in five years?
I would like to continue to grow my business over the nextfive5 years with current and new clients – keeping my staff and I fulfilled, successful and established as leaders in the PR and marketing industry across Canada.
What does success look like to you?
Success, to me, is the belief that I am doing my best and sharing the highs and lows with loved ones.
What is the most memorable milestone in your career?
Definitely when I launched my own business!
Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
When things get tough, never give up. Be confident and believe in yourself. Listen and learn from people who are experienced.
Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is that important to you?
I’ve had the opportunity to work with Vancouver Native Health Society and Vancouver Firefighters Charitable Society. They’re amazing amazing people, with both charities sustained by a group of volunteers. I’m proud to be supporting such great causes.
