Elevator Pitch: Describe your business in a nutshell.
“They say a picture is worth a thousand words.” It’s all about what message you want to communicate the moment you walk into a room. We make clothes that are fiercely feminine and beautifully tailored. It’s all about making women into the most beautiful and confident version of themselves.

Why did you start your business, what was the inspiration?
Getting to do what I love. It has always been something I wanted to do, but it was not considered a viable career option. So I became a chartered accountant and practiced in the industry for 10 years, but I never forgot my passion. I always think it’s important to feel happy and challenged every day. It was about imposing my vision onto people and transforming them.

What is the best part of what you do on a day-to-day basis?
Getting to work right beside my partner, my husband, and sharing the same goals. There is a famous saying, “Behind every successful man there is great woman.” I experienced the contrary. “When it’s over, I want to say: all my life I was a bride married to amazement.”  – Mary Oliver.

The most challenging part?
Having difficulties with third parties and suppliers to meet their deadlines and commitments. We are very deadline orientated, and I am very much a perfectionist, so it can be really frustrating.

Where do you see your business going in 5 years?
Taking the brand international, and having it world recognised and accomplished.

What does success look like to you?
Success is happiness. It’s knowing that you have accomplished your goals and all your efforts were worth it, and if you could go back and complete it all over again, you wouldn’t do it any different.

What is the most memorable milestone in your career?
Getting the opportunity to live out my dream and dream job; starting my own fashion label.

Do you have any advice for other young professionals?
Follow your dreams whether big or small. Don’t just sit and picture it, get up and do it.

Do you support any charities? If so, which one(s) and why is that important to you?
SPCA, Operation smile.

What is Notable to you?
To me being notable is being remembered, walking into a room and making an impact. I think great style is notable, and that it can open many doors for you.

Blackberry, iPhone, Android, or Other?

How do you keep active, energetic, and vibrant?
Doing pilates and bellydancing. We travel extensively, which gives me inspiration, and in everything I do I always make sure I am dressed for the occasion because clothes reflect your mood and confidence level.
