With award-winning restaurants all over the world, restaurateur and chef Daniel Boulud has finally graced the city of Montreal with its newest gem located at the recently renovated Ritz-Carlton Hotel. Maison Boulud is a fresh addition to the city’s most high-profile hotel. The French chef decided on Montreal for his latest endeavour due to its fusion of European charm and contemporary appeal.
Boulud has an extensive list of award-winning restaurants in London, Beijing, Singapore, Palm Beach, Miami and New York. They range from upscale spots such as Daniel, boasting three Michelin stars, to laid-back hot spot DBGB (our beloved New York City burger joint). Despite the diverse setting, an unparalleled culinary experience is assured. Boulud’s contemporary-style cooking is deep-rooted in French tradition. A reoccurring opulence at all of his eateries is the chef’s particular culinary style. His distinctive commitment to the rhythm of the seasons offers palatable dishes inspired by fresh ingredients.
As a true leader in the culinary scene, Maison Boulud does not fall short from Boulud’s esteemed style. The gorgeous design features clear glass dividers with earth tone-coloured squares separating different zones within the restaurant. The floors, tables and wall panels are all made from cherry wood, providing the restaurant with a gorgeous deep-wood color, setting an inviting tone. The aluminum louvered ceiling offers a modern elegance, in contrast to the floral patterned upholstered club chairs in tints of rich burgundy and gold. Moving out of the restaurant, the garden at the Maison Boulud offers a tranquil dining experience right in the heart of the city. The garden also features a pond, as well as darling little ducks.
The restaurant is open everyday; it offers breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus, depending on the day. The extensive menu is comprised of a vast selection of dishes driven by seasonal availability of bounty from Quebec’s local purveyors. Boulud has committed to use as many local products and suppliers as possible. Reservations at the restaurant are recommended, however walk-ins are also always of welcome. As with every other project of his, Maison Boulud meets the standards of the Michelin-starred chef. The welcoming and casual-toned spirit of the restaurant is a dining experience that will definitely excite all of your senses.
