Luxury Retreats Parties in the Fast Lane

There are parties and then there are parties. In honour of F1 2014, Luxury Retreats threw an all-out equestrian-themed bash that launched Grand Prix festivities into super high gear at Le Richmond. Saturday June 7th was home to angels on horseback, slews of celebs, sprawling seafood buffets, and fountains of champagne that had guests revelling until the late morning hours.

The exclusive event, #PartyintheFastLane, played up the Grand Prix theme with some serious and sensual “horse power” that was oh so stunningly provocative. Luring guests to the red carpet was a radiant angel-clad model riding a magnificent white horse and her accompanying stable boy – an ethereal entrance that set the tone for this heavenly evening. Inside, the spectacle continued with models in classic equestrian dress offering up glasses of crisp champagne. And the bubbly did not stop there. A champagne fountain (à la Great Gatsby) flowed beside a custom carved ‘Luxury Retreats’ ice sculpture.

The decadence continued with a spectacular seafood display that included both a sprawling fresh oyster bar and lobster claw bar, as well as fresh crab legs, caviar and an endless array of hors d’oeuvres. And all while a burlesque acrobat rode a suspended iron horse overhead. Naturally.

For dessert, guests were treated to an extensive dessert table that included a chocolate fountain, homemade chocolate treats, and an impeccable cheese table sure to satisfy even the most serious connoisseurs. As guests enjoyed the glamorous feast, DJ Pat Boogy provided the beats with an impressive light show in the background.

The exclusive guest list brimmed with a who’s who of Montreal. Hockey greats Lars Eller, Kirk Muller, and fan-favourite PK Subban were in attendance while Montreal Impact player Heath Pearce and his teammates mixed and mingled with the super-stylish crowd of Montrealers that also included boxer Jean Pascal.

Grand Prix excitement fuelled by champagne, glamour and good times – this is what living in the fast lane is all about.
