Luxe Brazilian Dining at Touro Churrascaria

We’re hoping you haven’t been tainted by abysmal rodizio in the city before reading this post, because you likely wouldn’t believe us when we say that Touro Churrascaria (125 York Blvd) in Richmond Hill is worth the trek from the downtown core…

Touro Churrascaria presents us with a more luxe version of the classic Brazilian dining style, where skewers of slowly cooked meats are brought around your table for an all-you-can-eat meat melee. But Touro goes one step further than just offering up some choice cuts of our fave animals.

At Touro, everything is an experience. A dispense-it-yourself enomatic wine system will tempt the vinophiles out there. Underneath you can even net yourself a special cubby for your own private collection of wines to sip every time you go to Touro. (Bonus, their interactive wine list can keep you entertained for hours.)

They feature special wine nights where they’ll focus on a region and you’re able to taste a few glasses paired with their Brazilian fare. You can even enjoy the rodizio style meals done with game meats and fish once monthly. On weekends you can groove out to DJ tunes spinning in the lounge.

Touro’s even got a special private room that’s completely soundproof, perfect for office lunches/dinners, nights out with a select set of clients, or just you and your boys wanting to watch the game on the private TV while eating course after course of meaty goodness…

And of course, it’s that meaty goodness which is why you really want to head to Touro. On any given day they’ve about 10 to 14 different choice cuts of meats, ranging from sausages to picanha (a deliciously fatty cut of beef) to striploin to chicken wings to bacon-wrapped chicken to garlic steak and the list goes on. Don’t fill up at the uber-cool, 40+ selection appetizer island even if the crab salad or meatballs tempt you – save your appetite for the rotating selection of juicy, succulent meats.

Sure, Touro Churrascaria may be off the beaten path for us downtowners, but it offers up a dining experience unlike anything available south of Steeles. And for us, that makes it a notable hidden gem.
