Last night we had the opportunity to score a sneak peek of the upcoming W Network’s Vancouver edition of popular Real Estate/Design show Love It or List It (set to air in early January).
Taking the helm as co-hosts are two notable young professionals who have already made their mark in Vancouver (and beyond). Former ‘Bachelorette’ and designer on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Jillian Harris will be sparring on-screen with actor and Realtor Todd Talbot as they ultimately compete to woo homeowners to either move out or stay put in their respective abodes.
With a room packed with production crew and invited media, it was a great opportunity for our Notable team to catch a glimpse of the behind-the scenes hard work and efforts expended toward the final package viewers can ultimately look forward to on the small screen in 2013.
Big Coat Productions is behind the wheel on this one and they’ve chosen two perfectly-suited people to help bring the right mix of professionalism, spunk and humour to the forthcoming show, as was evident in the teaser footage we were privy to. If you’re already a fan of the show, you can look forward to more than a few friendly battles between Todd and Jillian, whose hilarious banter melds well with the show’s underlying emotional side (as homeowners weigh their options).
For young professionals who are already entrenched in Vancouver’s real estate market, or looking to invest in the near future, Love It or List It Vancouver is a show worth watching. Given the rather tempestuous (and intimidating) real estate market that is Vancouver today, the show offers up some eye-opening insight, uncovers hidden gems, and helps shed light and advice for would-be buyers and sellers.
We’ll be tuning in on January 7th and think you ought to as well.
