Oliver & Bonacini Just Launched a Massive Brewpub in Liberty Village

There’s a new spot in Liberty Village that will surely be a new watering hole for beer enthusiasts and connoisseurs. Get ready for Liberty Commons at Big Rock Brewery, the experiential result of a blissful marriage of Oliver & Bonacini and Big Rock Brewery. Located at the corner of Liberty Street and Atlantic Avenue in Toronto, Liberty Commons is about to become a major staple in the Liberty Village lifestyle.

The menu at Liberty Commons puts an elevated twist on traditional comfort food, and offers no shortage of beer pairing options. The vibe at Liberty Commons is suitable for everything from brunch with friends to client lunches, plus beer-soaked Saturday afternoons and game nights.

The culinary vision at Liberty Commons is driven by O&B Corporate Executive Chef Anthony Walsh, District Executive Chef John Horne (Canoe, Auberge du Pommier), and newly appointed Chef de Cuisine Ryan Lister, formerly of Canoe — all Toronto food scene heavyweights and heroes.

“We want Liberty Commons to be a place for the neighbourhood to come together over knockout food and brews,” said Chef Anthony Walsh. “Here, there’s a connection between food and beer that’s so much more than just a pint. From stocks and sauces to batters and brines, beer flows naturally throughout all aspects the restaurant.”

Conveniently, the BBQ menu is also available for takeout lunch.

Helping your hangover cause, weekend brunch includes hearty hangover fare, with dishes like Yorkshire Eggs Benny ($15) with ham, Yorkshire pudding, poached eggs, Big Rock lager Hollandaise, and home fries.
