Levi’s Is Bringing Back This Beloved Vintage Style

Not only will Levi’s jeans never go out of style, most of the time, they get better with age.

But sometimes, old classics get a welcomed revamp.

The Levi’s 505 are the original cropped, mid-rise, straight-legged pants. This classic style was one of the most popular jeans of the 1970s.

Yesterday, Levi’s announced the return of the 505 with an updated version offered with the new 505C line.

Associated with the New York music scene in the ‘70s and worn by music legends like Debbie Harry and The Ramones, Levi’s 505 style is actually a top collectors’ item. It’s not every day you come across a pair of the coveted original.

But the revamped line comes with some welcomed updates.

These include longer pant legs to give your stems a lengthened look, outwardly tilted back pockets that offer an instant butt lift, and a greater waist-to-hip ratio, which creates a slimming effect around the midsection.

The revamp of the 505 comes after the mass success of the updated version of the cult-classic 501 jeans back in February 2015.

The denim launched on Tuesday in New York City, with Blondie herself in attendance. She was rocking the jeans, of course and performed hits in the Bowery Ballroom.
