Le Cabaret Du Passé Takes Over Guilt & Company Tonight

Normally, Guilt & Co. is where we head when we’re in the mood for a little ‘eclectic’ relaxation with friends, Vancouver creatives and anyone looking for a place that’s a bit removed from the heavily DJ’d atmospheres offered by so many other bars and lounges around town. It’s the perfect place to head to for a bit of live music, random 80s board games (we’re talking Jenga, Scattergories and more) and inevitable entertaining conversation that’s bound to ensue as the cocktails flow.

We’re thinking that cocktails might just flow this evening indeed, with the highly anticipated ‘Vaudevillian Burlesque’ event gearing up to take over the space courtesy of Le Cabaret. On the third Tuesday of each month, the creative team behind this group of performers sets up shop at Guilt & Co., for a night of debaucherous fun that amps up the 1920s speakeasy atmosphere a few notches.

Producers Spooksy Delune, Lola Frost and Cameo Lecrock promise guests an intensely intoxicating performance art show like no other this evening. Dubbing tonight’s show ‘Criminal Minds’, it will supposedly delve into devious darkness and a psyche fuelled by love and deceit – illustrated in true burlesque fashion by some of Vancouver’s best performers – and we can’t wait.

We suggest scoring a spot on the early side of this cellar-like hot spot (aim for 7pm at the latest, show starts at 8pm sharp). Find Guilt & Co. located at 1 Alexander Street (just below Chill Winston).
