Last Night’s Indeed + Notable Director’s Lounge Was a Beautiful Way to Kick Off TIFF

Last night was a good one “indeed.”

Not only has the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) arrived in full-force, infusing the city with an infectious energy, but yours truly and Indeed Labs kicked it off last night with a TIFF party of epic proportions.

It was called the Notable Director’s Lounge – but you probably already knew that.

King West’s The Everleigh quickly filled with some of the city’s finest young professionals – many of who are regular fixtures on the city’s social scene.

Between air kisses, handshakes, and clinking glasses, guests talked shop (it was still Thursday, after all), compared TIFF party notes, and did a little relationship hunting in the process (yeah, we saw that).

Naturally, the event featured an open bar, and no shortage of #foodporn-worthy photo opps thanks to the delicious eats from Elle Cuisine (we’re still dreaming about the sponge toffee brownie and gourmet beef sliders).

Of course, the easy-on-the-eyes Indeed Labs representatives were there to share their beauty secrets – because we all could use some pointers during TIFF. The main secret is called Nanoblur, and it’s literally a miracle worker (especially during TIFF when you’re getting ready for your close-up). The instant skin perfecter offers a naturally airbrushed effect – so you can go easy on those Insta filters – to blur fine lines and conceal large pores.

After sampling the product, guests were invited to hit the Indeed Labs selfie station, where they got to #nanobluryourselfie.

So, while guests often look worse when leaving a party, in last night’s case, they actually looked even better. And not only did they look beautiful, but they left well fed, thanks to elle cuisine, who was serving up tasty treats all night.

And when 4am last calls are upon us (hey, don’t look at us, our party ended at 11pm), everyone can use all the help they can get in the “looking awake and alive” department.

Because we’re pretty sure there are more than a handful of guests who aren’t feeling so awake and alive today. Luckily, they now know what to do.
