In case you hadn’t heard, Kim Kardashian is about to be an “author.”
And it speaks volumes about our generation.
In a new “book” titled Selfish (the irony of the title is that it’s not ironic), Kim will release a collection “featuring many never-before-seen personal images.”
Just think about that for a second.
This woman has taken so many selfies that despite posting multiple images OH/BH (of herself, by herself) every single day she has so many left over that she can make a book. Or probably 12 books if we let her.
And we call her a “reality” star…
Just two weeks ago this article came out based on research conducted at Ohio State University that suggested men who “who posted more online photos of themselves than others scored higher on measures of narcissism and psychopathy.”
Though as long as we keep allowing people to take themselves this seriously we’re pretty much screwed:
“Widely regarded as a trailblazer of the “selfie movement”—a modern-day self-portrait of the digital age—Kim has mastered the art of taking flattering and highly personal photos of oneself.”
So the next time you catch yourself snapping a shot of your own face – in the bathroom mirror, the car, or in a waking-up-like-this moment – just remember, Kim Kardashian is about to be an author and it’s all your fault.
