A new store with a unique and notable concept has opened up in Outrement. As of just about four weeks ago, Une Ile En Amerique has become a platform for a group of 15 Quebec designers including Marie Saint-Pierre, Denis Gagnon, Christian Chenail, Michel Desjardins, and the list goes on. The brainchild of chic and sophisticated Isabelle Brais, Une Ile En Amerique seeks to showcase beautiful Quebec fashions and designs, and house some of the most worthwhile pieces in this upscale boutique.
The shop specializes in clothing and accessories, jewelry, and even furniture, carpets and art. It’s a real celebration of the Quebec local aesthetic in every way possible. Every item in the store is for sale (including the beautiful paintings on the wall), all of which have been carefully curated by Brais, whose attention to detail should be lauded. When walking through, it’s evident that Quebec designers can cultivate offerings that would stand up on the world stage, the likes of which we rarely see or take a firm notice of. Luckily, thanks to Brais and her fashionable and belle province-centric boutique, we’ll be sure to note it.
