Next time you’re headed out for an impromptu night on the town, don’t fret about dashing home to redo the hair and makeup, simply step into Vancouver’s newest (and chic-est) one-stop-boutique: Nadia Albano Style Inc. Studio and get primped to perfection.
Notable stopped by Nadia’s grand-opening fete last night and we instantly felt whisked away to some Parisian boudoir. Who knew that a few steps off the busy Granville Street Strip, in a historic building (circa 1925), we’d find the perfect reprieve for our style woes?
With Skinnygirl Margarita in-hand, we toured the cozy space that perfectly melds high-brow sophistication with old-school charm to create a comfortable setting. Owner Nadia explained that she sourced most of the decor and artwork herself from various antique shops – adding a personal touch when needed.
Nadia is a seasoned stylist who has worked with plenty of local celebrities, bridal parties, and has even prepped UFC hosts and fighters; she also made it to the final two on last year’s W Network Ultimate Expert Challenge reality show. Her impressive credentials don’t end there. Nadia’s passion for fashion led to her founding the Vancouver Community College of Makeup Artistry Program last year so she could continue to relay her talent and skills to others.
After having spent time in Europe (namely France), Nadia decided that it was time to set up a stylish space of her own here in Vancouver where clients could visit, escape, be transformed and learn techniques themselves. Her studio goals are meant to provide all of this, as well as lend ongoing fashion-forward tips and tricks to help build confidence.
The Nadia Albano Style Inc. Studio is definitely a place we’ll be revisiting the next time we’re heading out for a special night, or simply just want to let our hair down and be spoiled. 100 – 825 Granville Street, Vancouver, 604-682-3016.
