Welcome to JNF’s Future Party 2012. This year’s event will feature DJ Samantha Ronson as headliner with accompanying acts by local talents DJ Filthy Gorgeous and Bangers & Mash.
Ronson is perhaps most famous for her relationship with Lindsay Lohan (yes, she’s that Samantha Ronson.), but what you don’t know about Ronson is that she’s been a part of the music scene since way before Lohan ever stole our hearts playing two innocent twins trying to reunite their parents (good times). Ronson’s musical tentacles spread far and wide and dip into everything from rock to rap, and of course DJing. So you know you can trust her to handle her headlining duties at one of the biggest events of the year.
JNF’s Future Parties are created in order to raise funds for various projects related to JNF. This year’s proceeds will be used to create a “security planting” around the Nir Oz Kibbutz, which borders Gaza. Due to its location, the Kibbutz and its 350 residents are often exposed to artillery attacks. Proceeds from the party will go to planting several trees around the Kibbutz which will act as a “green buffer” providing shelter from the attacks.
