We at Notable love when companies use the power of social media to help out a worthy cause. Such is the case with T-fal’s IronMan Challenge in support of Dress for Success. Until August 17th, T-fal is urging Canadian men to upload a photo of themselves – or ladies, you can suggest and upload a pic for a nominee – with a compelling definition of what makes them a strong modern man…or IronMan, if you will.
After the entries are collected, 20 men will be selected as finalists, and then a public vote will take place on T-fal Canada’s Facebook page to determine the top four men. What’s the endgame? Getting to be a part of the 2012 IronMan calendar to be released later this fall. (The other eight months will feature notable Canadian celebs posing for the camera.) And, a select panel will rank the top four men and award a grand prize: an all-expense-trip for two to the Grand Bahia Principe in the Mayan Riviera and an editorial fashion photo shoot in Sharp Magazine, along with a T-fal kitchen set valued at over $1,500. Guys, it’s time to start flexing.
Of course, what’s most notable about this contest is that the IronMan Challenge is raising funds and awareness for Dress for Success’ Canadian Division. Dress for Success is a non-profit that promotes economic independence for disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
