iQ Food Co.

The Financial District has a new and health-conscious hotspot that answers the question of how to eat healthy during a hectic workday. Enter iQ Food Co., a new restaurant started by entrepreneur Alan Bekerman. iQ Food Co. serves up a mix of wraps, salads, and its staple “hot boxes” in an upbeat take-out environment that elevates fast food to a whole new level.

iQ’s modern and functional space was designed by Toronto’s II BY IV, and it supports iQ Food Co.’s best features, including locally-sourced ingredients and quick preparation and service. Bekerman enlisted AmoebaCorp to interpret the branding for the brand, resulting in an evolved look that is reminiscent of the classic brown bag comfort lunch concept. The menu is robust enough to satisfy the most discerning of young professionals who are looking for a sophisticated bite during a busy day. All items are under $10, which is remarkable considering the care that goes into iQ Food Co.’s food philosophy. Need more convincing? Alan Bekerman strategically partnered with Toronto restaurant veterans Oliver & Bonacini resulting in an “unofficial” mentorship program.

iQ Food Co. has been open for just over a month, and has attracted a vast array of clientele who frequent the small shop on a regular basis. Bekerman endeavours to open two more locations by year-end, opening the doors to satisfy even more young professionals looking for cheap, cheerful, and healthy options. Note It: iQ Food Co.’s website includes nutritional information for all its menu items.
