Hot Shop: Samsung NX1000 WI FI Camera

In time for the summer, Samsung has refreshed its popular NX series with a range of Wi-Fi connected cameras, the NX20, NX210 and NX1000. Perfect for young professionals, the NX1000 compact system camera offers a less expensive, entry-level option. The cameras are built around Samsung’s 20.3MP APS-C sensor, can shoot at up to 8 frames per second and capture full HD 1080p24 movies. The camera includes Wi-Fi connectivity to Android smartphones and several social networking sites; accessing Wi-Fi comes simply with the press of the Smart Link Hot Key button, allowing for instant sharing.

The brand new, professional-grade 20.3MP APS-C CMOS Sensor produces top quality images because each individual pixel has a large sensor area and receives more light. This guarantees low noise levels, high dynamic range and accurate colour differentiation, allowing you to shoot during low-light situations without graininess or other noise. The NX1000’s 1/4000 shutter speed offers the flexibility to shoot like professionals, at varying speeds and light exposures. The shutter even automatically adjusts itself to account for environmental factors like temperature and camera direction. Other features of the NX1000 include Panorama and 3D Panorama modes, 20-50mm Zoom lens, i-Function 2.0 controls and the Smart Panel information display.

The NX1000 will be available next month in white, black or pink finishes and retails for $700.
