Have You Gone to Pink Elephant Thai?

Hungry for a quick bite at a classy locale, we were tickled pink by the discovery of Pink Elephant Thai Restaurant in the heart of downtown Vancouver.

Having opened fairly recently, Pink Elephant Thai offers savvy diners a fresh, vibrant take on traditional Thai cuisine; one that’s (in their own words) full of “sanook” – that’s Thai for brimming with energy. And full of inspiration and energy it is.

Simply put, the space is sleek, spacious, and downright sexy. We were impressed by the well-appointed modern fixtures woven throughout the multi-tiered room. Punches of their signature bold pink added a tasteful impact, pulling it all together nicely. This is the perfect spot to plan your next après-work gathering with friends or colleagues – a long stretch of bar space provides the ideal spot to casually mingle and indulge in tasty happy hour treats (3pm to 5pm daily). It’s also got a level of intimacy that lends itself to creating a penultimate date-night – just tuck into one of the cozy booths.

INTERIOR PINK ELEPHANT THAI

Pink Elephant Thai has an extensive list of traditional Thai offerings that are sure to satiate your appetite. They’ve also created a tantalizing menu that is inspired by the various extensive culinary regions, yet have added their own modern twist.

PINK ELEPHANT THAI

Don’t look for foods smothered in sauces and over-powered by spices at Pink Elephant Thai, instead you’ll find the perfect balance of fresh ingredients brought together, yet each exhibits its own burst of flavour for your dining experience and enjoyment. Take one bite of their grilled marinated lamb chop, expertly paired with a fine selection of Thai spices and herbs, or try their juicy grilled ostrich ‘kebob’ and you’ll see exactly what we mean.

LAMB

If it’s Thai style noodles you’re looking for, they’ve got an extensive menu dedicated to just this. It’s a ‘Mix ‘n Match’ made in heaven, and deliciously filling too.
