happythankyoumoreplease at Open Roof Festival

Open Roof Festival continues this week with happythankyoumoreplease, a romantic comedy starring Malin Ackerman, Josh Radnor (who also wrote and directed the film), and Zoe Kazan. An aspiring novelist’s life is changed after taking in a young boy separated from his family. An unexpected friendship between the two helps novelist Sam realize that adulthood is not about waiting for the right answers to find you, instead it’s about finding them on your journey. Open Roof Festival’s moviegoers will be treated to a live performance by Kae Sun, a Toronto-based singer/songwriter whose drive for creating raw and non-commoditized artistic experiences he draws from inspiration from his native Ghana.

Open Roof Festival is a Toronto summer movie series located outdoors with the city as its backdrop. Each night of the festival – running Thursdays from June 16th through September 1st – will feature a live band and a great flick under the nighttime hue of city lights. The mandate of Open Roof Festival is to provide Toronto with an outdoor summer experience that highlights independent artists from Canada and around the world. It’s more than just another night at the movies, it’s an evening of arts and entertainment in support of Toronto’s independent film community.
