Glitz and Glamour at the Montreal Ritz Carlton Grand Prix Garden Party

This past Friday, June 7th, the glamorous Ritz-Carlton Montreal joined in the race festivities by organizing the first inaugural Ritz-Carlton Grand Prix Garden Party in conjunction with McLaren and Formula Tours. The party took place in the hotel’s Oval Room and Oval Terrace, as well as the Palm Court from 6:30pm until 2am. Shining bright in glitz and glamour, VIP guests included some of the Canadiens players, like Brandon Prust and PK Subban, TV personality Anne-Marie Withenshaw, and icon Mitsou.

Guests were greeted on the red carpet as they entered the stunning space by McLaren hostesses and could catch a glimpse of the two show-stopping McLaren cars parked in front of the hotel.

Inside, guests were treated to a lounge atmosphere with mood-setting lighting, décor and an impressive display of rose bouquets that made you feel as lavish as ever – only to be expected from a Ritz and McLaren party.

The inside space was complete with a McLaren car, an open, flowing champagne bar provided by Moët & Chandon, and with exquisite dishes prepared by Executive Chef Lévêque and Maison Boulud. A notable mention goes to the delicious dessert station!

For those in attendance that wanted to catch a breath of fresh air, the Oval Terrace provided cocktails with the Bet & Steph Bossa Nova band playing beautiful rhythms to the crowd.

Of course, no glam evening would be complete without a runway show, and Holt Renfrew delivered the right fashion alongside to celebrity DJ Brendan Fallis. Let’s also not forget the opening of a gentleman’s cognac bar by Sharp Magazine in the Palm Court – tres chic!

If this is what the first edition of The Ritz Carlton & McLaren Party was, we can only hope there’s a second edition in the making for next year…cheers!
