Gisele to Retire From the Runway, Reports Say She’ll Remain Beautiful

This is like Michael Jordan hanging up his shoes.

Like Tiger putting away his driver.

When you’ve been one of the most beautiful women in the world for so long, stepping off the catwalk is akin to no longer playing the game.

That’s why we shed a silent tear with the announcement that our favourite Brazilian supermodel, Gisele Bundchen, would retire from the runway.

Apparently, her body was “asking her to stop,” according to the model, though you would never guess it from looking at her. Bundchen’s body remains one of the most desired in the world – by men and women alike – even after having two children.

And don’t even get us started on her hair.

After a hugely successful career that has spanned 20 years, Bundchen says she would like to focus more time on her family (which, of course, includes husband Tom Brady) and her own personal projects.

Bunchen has worked with brands like Chanel, Valentino, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, Victoria’s Secret and Balenciaga, just to name a few.

But you probably already knew that.

The 34-year-old’s last runway appearance will be on the Colcci catwalk during Sao Paulo Fashion Week.

There’s a silver lining though; Bundchen will continue off-the-runway work, like campaigns and photo shoots.
