Garrison Bespoke Launches a Shop Specifically for Toronto Grooms

As our Facebook newsfeed constantly reminds us – there’s a new young professional (YP) couple getting engaged every week.

So thanks for that, Zukerberg.

And with the arrival of Kleinfeld in Toronto last spring, the ladies seem to have more options than ever before when it comes to scoring a fabulous wedding dress in this city (and one your girlfriend or friend-of-friend hasn’t already worn).

But it’s just as important that the men look editorial (a.k.a Instagram) worthy on their big day too. And, as we know by now, a suit is not just a suit.

That’s why Garrison Bespoke just launched a new shop at the King Edward Hotel, Garrison Weddings, the first bespoke shop in North America that caters exclusively to grooms.

And yes, it’s about time.

Blushing brides can blush even harder when their grooms now have the perfect suit to pair with their stunning dress. Garrison Bespoke, of course, is the go-to for Toronto YP gents when looking for that one-of-a-kind tailored suit and wardrobe advice to help them look the part- whether on Bay Street or in the courtroom (speaking of which, as you may recall, the shop dresses the men of Suits).

At Garrison Weddings, newly engaged men (and their brides-to-be or groomsmen) can book appointments to sip champagne and/or scotch and browse what promises to be the largest selection of fabrics and formal wear accessories for men anywhere in Canada.

This includes a variety of suiting styles, from classic tuxedos to elegant three-piece ensembles. Then, over five fittings, each groom’s personal stylist helps him select fabrics, colour schemes, and details to complement his skin tone, personal style, and wedding theme, to ensure his suit fits as well as her dress does.

Don’t let the King Eddy name fool you; the experience is made far from stuffy when grooms-to-be can enjoy the champagne buzz while trying on things like Albert Thurston suspenders worn by every James Bond in history, Drake’s London bow ties as worn by Kanye West at his wedding to Kim Kardashian, and the Hollard & Sherry vintage barathea shirt and Barneys New York stud sets worn by Barack Obama when he married Michelle.

Who says boys can’t play (and enjoy) dress-up too?

Perhaps the best part (aside from the look on her face) is that the suit can make its debut at your wedding, and then follow you like a trusted wingman to your next black tie gala or deal-brokering board meeting.

Located in the east end of the iconic hotel, Garrison Weddings celebrated its opening with a two-day pop-up shop from The Vintage Watch Company, which featured a collection of rare and vintage Rolex, Omega, IWC, Patek Phillipe, and Breitling watches.

And judging from the crowd of stylish young bachelors in attendance, we have a feeling the shop is going to do just fine in no time.
