Foodie Alert: Digest Digest Toronto

Toronto foodies, take note: the future is here.

This Thursday, the 26th, from 5pm-9pm at The Theatre Centre (1115 Queen St W), Digest Digest will offer you the chance to eat, learn, be wowed, and let loose – and all in that order.

Start off with a food tasting from RAWjuvenation that also involves a kambucha sampling bar with VamsKombucha before settling into a one-hour speaker series that will focus on the future of food and includes the likes of Ken Waagner (Founder of e.a.t.) and Scott Friedmann (Chief Innovation Officer at Idea Couture), as well as a lecture entitled A Cultured Future With In Vitro Meat to be delivered by Rob Bolton.

After you’ve listened up, it’ll be time to have some fun courtesy of food artists and innovators BevLab. If you’re the kind of person who likes playing with their food, this is simply a can’t-miss event. How do we know? Two words: liquid nitrogen.

Once you’ve learned the answers to important questions (like, can we drink clouds?), you’ll be treated to a surprise creation from a local chef. It’s still a secret which chef will be showing up, which is all part of the appeal.

Finally, after your brain and your stomach are full, your $40 ticket will also grant you access to the exclusive after party at The Libertine where you can dance off all your bad – and good – decisions.

If this is what the future looks like, we can’t wait.
