Five Vancouver Galas You Don’t Want to Miss This Fall

Fall is all about putting on your little black dress and giving back.

And since we want you to have the best oppurtunity to support the cause of your choice (and look good doing it) we’re giving you a list of the most notable fall galas you’re going to want to attend over the next six weeks.

First up, this weekend the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation is hosting its  11th annual Passions Gala at the Imperial. This is definitely one for the Notable YPs looking to extend their list of contacts for a few reasons. Not only is it relatively affordable, but it’s also in support of a worthy cause and it’s loaded with lots of good eats. With 21 participating restaurants and chefs this year, variety will be aplenty. Feast your way around the space sampling from the likes of Bittered Sling, Beaucoup Bakery, CinCin, Glowbal Group, and Market by Jean Georges to name a few. Oh, and don’t forget the wallet. You’ll want to secure your chance at taking home something from their extensive silent auction.

Monogram® Dinner by Design is back on September 22nd for a stylish gala dinner like no other in the city and is where Vancouver’s twin touchstones of culinary and design culture converge. Eighteen of the city’s top interior designers create unique tables capes and bars that serve as a backdrop for a multi-course menu as part of Dinner by Design. Tickets for this one-of-a-kind dining experience are $300 and can be purchased here.

The Vancouver Aquarium rolls out the carpet for its annual Toast to the Coast event on October 17th and is definitely not to be missed. The little sister benefit to the more expensive Night at the Aquarium event, TTTC 2014 is perfect for young professionals looking for an excuse to get dressed up for a night out at one of Vancouver’s most spectacular venues. Bring your appetite and feast on gourmet bites by top Ocean Wise™ restaurants and taste signature B.C. wines as you celebrate the conservation of our oceans.

Support the accessibility of art and nab tickets for Splash 2014 in support of Arts Umbrella (taking place October 18th).  Splash is one of Vancouver’s highest profile charitable art events and Arts Umbrella’s signature fundraising event that attracts a sell-out crowd. It’s the perfect marriage of cocktails and culture with money raised going directly towards providing quality arts education to children across Greater Vancouver.

A little later this fall, consider saving up for the 2014 Inspiration Gala’s 10th Anniversary party taking place at the swanky Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. Join 450 other well-heeled guests as you party the night away. The event features a cocktail reception, live entertainment, a gourmet dinner, live and silent auction mystery boxe,s and more. The event (a benefit for BC Cancer Foundation) has helped raise $15 million for cancer research and medicine.
