Located in a neighbourhood that lies between City Hall, 6th Avenue, The Bay and The CPR Tracks, First Thursday is a great way to check out the local buildings, shops, restaurants, and friendly faces that make up the Cultural District. This area is home to many significant cultural and historical buildings such as the Calgary Tower and Glenbow Museum, boutique shops, and over fifty restaurants.
Patrons of First Thursday will be open late to offer YPs talks, tours, live music, exhibitions, sales, food and much more. This is a great chance to experience Calgary with the eyes of a tourist. Most events are free or discounted. Two weeks ahead of time, events will be listed here. Plan your itinerary early and make sure you leave room for the next month as events change with new additions every month.
