Exit Through the Gift Shop at Open Roof Festival Toronto

Open Roof Festival debuts its 2011 season on June 16th with Exit Through the Gift Shop: The story of how an eccentric French shop keeper and amateur filmmaker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner. Open Roof Festival’s moviegoers will be treated to a live performance by The Little Black Dress, a band with unmatched versatility, wide-ranging accessibility, and timeless style.

Open Roof Festival is a Toronto summer movie series located outdoors with the city as its backdrop. Each night of the festival – running Thursdays from June 16th through September 1st – will feature a live band and a great flick under the nighttime hue of city lights. The mandate of Open Roof Festival is to provide Toronto with an outdoor summer experience that highlights independent artists from Canada and around the world. It’s more than just another night at the movies, it’s an evening of arts and entertainment in support of Toronto’s independent film community.
