Everything You Need to Know About Vancouver Fashion Week S/S 2015

You have seven days to get styled.

Officially, that is.

With VFW S/S 2015 taking over the city for the next week there are plenty of hot shows and even cooler designs your closet will definitely thank you for – and we’ve put together a list of the must-sees.

More than 70 local and international designers will fill Queen Elizabeth Plaza under a nearly 14,000 square foot tent where you can catch shows  and models strutting their style down a 90-foot long runway.

Prepare to be awed.

MZ by Lotusactiva
Clear your agenda tonight and try to beeline it out of work on the early side to catch local celeb (and former Vancouver Housewives star) Mary Zilba at her MZ by Lotusactiva show. She’ll be revealing her new, locally designed line of yoga gear – and being a true Vancouverite, you know how much we appreciate that.

Afterwards, stick around and catch the latest looks courtesy of Atiz, Daiki Shimizu, Rebekah Adams, Dawson & Deveraux.

La Salle College
Tomorrow, be sure to attend the La Salle College show featuring a number of talented students showcasing their collections as part of the Emerging Designers Night. This Vancouver Fashion Week season, LaSalle College will be presenting looks from current and graduated students from campuses around the world, including LaSalle Casablanca, Barcelona, and Montreal.

International Shows
Fill in the rest of your week and catch looks from a few noteworthy international design visionaries like Wednesday’s show featuring Chinese born, British-based designer, Lu Liu, and the latest luxury handbag look from Colombian-based Sandra Bareno.

Goldie
Thursday and Fridays runways are packed with even more talent from the likes of KUERO, Danny Reinke, Green Embassy, Nikki Babie, Oscar Mendoza and Canadian designer, Goldie, as well as many, many, more.

Some Product
If you’ve got room and an appetite for even more fashion throughout the weekend, Saturday and Sunday shows not to miss are Some Product, Russia’s own fashion-forward looks via Lubov Tumanova, Le Monde Gris, Jessie Liu, Jaesun Chung, and Karen Yang.

Make sure you hook yourself up with tickets to the VFW 2014 Official After Party Gala taking place at Republic this Saturday and save room for the VFW 2014 Closing Gala on Sunday night (same venue). Models, producers, designers, and fashion influencers kick off (or up, as it where) their heels for a debaucherous night fueled by champagne, DJ beats, and decadence.
