It’s time to dust off that dirndl and prep your liver accordingly.
We’ve got the scoop on one of Vancouver’s hottest events to hit our calendars this fall – and trust us, you don’t want to miss Harvest Haus.
The celebrations kick off on Thursday, October 2nd, and will spread through the weekend, infusing the German tradition of Oktoberfest with a west coast style. Queen Elizabeth Plaza is literally going to be taken over.
Aimed to accommodate a thousand revelers over six different seatings, this is going to be the biggest beer-swigging party of the season (complete with plenty of authentic specialty German beer) that – of course – comes with its own rotation of both local and international DJs.
Feast your way around the space and visit European food stalls that’ll be part of the Markplatz. Throughout the Harvest Haus Halle, you’ll find all sorts of traditional Oktoberfest fare including pretzels (courtesy of The Artisan Bake Shoppe), Oyama sausage, sauerkraut, and schnitzel.
Quench your thirst by sipping Harvest Haus craft cider or wine (if you’re not feeling the brew), catch a mixology competition, or witness a keg tapping as you take in authentic Bavarian music that’ll get you in the mood – and keep you there.
Make a weekend of it and stick around for an Oktoberfest-style brunch on Sunday featuring long table seating, themed food stations, and DJ Erick Decks setting the mood.
Talk about a #SundayFunday.
