Our highly anticipated collaboration with one of our favourite restaurant/bars, The Royal Merchant, took place last Thursday… and was it ever epic.
The launch of “The Notable Merchants” 5 a 7 was nothing short of sweet in every way possible. From the classic rock hits that everyone was nodding and singing along to, to the free pizza courtesy of our friends at the Pizza Season, which was highly enjoyed by foodies in attendance, the vibe was truly notable and hot on this chilly Thursday.
Guests arrived early and the place was jam packed by 5:00pm with our friends, new faces and young professionals from across the city that have been looking for an après-work event like this.
What made it special? Let’s start with the fact that we partnered up with a dear cause to us, Movember, and had guest bartender Toby Lyle of the infamous Burgundy Lion serve up Stewart’s Old Fashioned Black Cherry Jerrys for donation tips, which, might we add, were very successful… so a big thank you to all those that donated!
With Pizza Season by Cyber Relief in motion and the Merchant’s new pizza menu launch by Chef Ryan Dixon underway, we dished out complimentary pizza between 5pm and 7pm while others packed up the tables around and ordered delicious choices from the new 5 a 7 menu.
Naturally, we’ll continue this series since the demand and feedback have been so great. So come join us this Thursday, November 21st at 5pm for Moosehead and Stewart’s Root Beer n Rum Happy Hour, free wings from 5 pm until 7pm, Movember donation bar run by party starter Josh Silver, oysters galore by the one and only Terlecki, your favourite classic hits and, once again, a first-class crowd.
