When one of the city’s top patio spots announces that they’re revamping their cocktail offerings and tweaking their tapas menu to welcome the summer season at one of the swankiest hotels in town, we notably beeline our way over to check it out…
It helps that said patio happens to be one of our Notable favourites, Reflections at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, and turned out to be a truly rockin’ event that got revelers in the mood to party. Attendees were decked out (pun intended) in their summertime best, sipping cocktails from the new list of offerings expertly mixed courtesy of the Stoli Vodka team (at an ice bar, no less).
Platters of tapas flowed through the room as easily as did the conversation among guests who amicably greeted each other as if just emerging from some sort of hibernation. And why not, given the party vibe was decidedly upbeat, helped along by a live band that played front and centre. It was the perfect way to celebrate the fact that warmer temps are well on their way.
We mingled with plenty of well-heeled guests and ran into friends and colleagues as we made our way around the sprawling outdoor space perched overlooking the bustle of downtown Vancouver. Cabana-style seating invites you to grab a group and order up some bottle service as you tuck into overstuffed couches by the fire to commence in some serious people watching.
The business scene of our city is one fully loaded with movers and shakers who, come summertime, flock in droves to the upscale-yet-unpretentious Reflections lounge and patio. Water features add to a spa-like feel with plenty of lush greenery helping drone out sounds of the city and any trace of a bad day at the stock market.
Reflections is the perfect place to land if you’re looking for an oasis of cool in Vancouver. Its convenient, central locale makes it an easy walk from work for happy hour cocktails and light bites. When you’re done with drinks, simply transfer the party downstairs to the award-winning Hawksworth Restaurant and your night is made.
