Event Recap: Lise Watier’s Quick Beauty Fixes for YPs

Upon our arrival at this invite-only event, we were warmly greeted and offered a glass of bubbles before entering the chic private room. We had the chance to chat with several key Lise Watier team members; Rachel Ladouceur (a past Notable Award finalist),and Katrine Gouron, who made the trek from Montreal for the occasion, both of whom were more than happy to share product info and insight with us as part of their fall product sneak peek.

We also had the chance to meet the event’s guest of honour (and winner of the Something Sweet contest), Jessica Kruger. Jessica is now the new beauty ambassador for this Canadian cosmetic company and is a powerhouse unto her own right.

Not only is this 21-year-old young woman a stunning person full of personality, she’s an accomplished model rendered quadriplegic due to a tragic work-related injury about six or so years ago. As the face behind the Something Sweet scent, she’s seemingly the perfect fit – embracing life and all its moments without complaint and with a sense of confidence and poise we were ultimately struck by.

In between all the talk, we still managed to squeeze in an impromptu makeup touch-up and partake in product demos with their team of pros. Here’s a few we’ve got our eye on when it comes time to revamp our regime for fall/winter…

Lise Watier’s Luminous Perfecting Primer Infused with Diamond Lumière Complex (available in four shades, paraben, oil and fragrance-free and only $39).

Base Miracle Pore Minimizer Primer, guaranteed to help keep dry skin at bay this fall with vitamins A and C added – and it helps decrease the size of pores and lessens any trace of wrinkles (also paraben, fragrance and oil-free for $36).
