Event Recap: Indulge, The Art of Beauty

It was an amazing night for a great cause; the Art’s Umbrella’s Bursary and Outreach programs afforded the perfect opportunity to indulge in the worlds of fashion and beauty while still managing to squeeze in a bit of networking with other likeminded YPs

It was an amazing night for a great cause; the Art’s Umbrella’s Bursary and Outreach programs afforded the perfect opportunity to indulge in the worlds of fashion and beauty while still managing to squeeze in a bit of networking with other likeminded YPs.

We had the opportunity to score a complimentary skin consult courtesy of Project Skin MD and nabbed the latest tips and trends courtesy of industry experts. Fashion trends for summer were much discussed and we definitely had fun adding to our forever-growing wishlist after taking in Holt Renfrew’s fashion show.

It wasn’t all about celebrating outer beauty, though. This year’s event introduced an on-site nutritionist who gave us the low-down on healthy eating. Also on hand, we chatted up their holistic health coach and sampled freshly-pressed juices courtesy of newly-launched company The Juice Box (run by two noteworthy young professionals).

In between checking out the various different stations set up throughout the space, we enjoyed a few bites courtesy of the Lazy Gourmet while stealing sips of sparkling wine. Not a bad way to unwind after a long day indeed.

For those feeling lucky, a silent auction was also available with plenty of interesting items (giant Pucci coffee table book anyone?)  Though we walked away unsuccessful, it was great to see so much competitive bidding taking place in support of such a great cause.

Feeling satiated and rather polished, we made our way over to the photo station to grab a few glammed-up pics and managed to score a custom fitting courtesy of Agent Provocateur. We were also schooled on proper packing tips by the friendly representative at Louis Vuitton prior to heading home.

Who knew playing dress-up after work could be such fun?
