Calgary young professionals and fashionistas were seeing red Saturday, September 22, at the Heart Truth Fashion Show in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Held at Eighth Avenue Place, the space was transformed to include a runway and VIP cocktail area, and was filled with the who’s who of Calgary – many of whom were sporting the crimson shade in tribute of the event. As the evening kicked off, guests mingled as they sipped champagne and nibbled on canapés courtesy of Cucina and Charcut. There was even a red dress made entirely out of chocolate by the talented chef at the Fairmont Palliser.
The fashion show was a hit with local celebrities, including Zahra Al Harazi, Brett Wilson, and Jill Belland, rocking frocks designed by local designers. It also showcased talented violinist Sophie Serafino, who opened the show sashaying down the runway as she played her violin. Opera singer Adam Fisher belted out hits from Phantom of the Opera as models showed off fall fashions courtesy of Chinook Centre.
The crowed was definitely wowed, though, as the show came to a close with designs by famed and loved local designer Paul Hardy.
After the main event, guests danced the night away at the exclusive after party held at Belgo Brasserie.
