Cowboys officially opened their doors and held a four-day Grand Opening celebration. It was a great kickoff with the room full of some of the city’s top young professionals, along with the quintessential Cowboys staff that makes it so fun.The club, located in the Cowboys Casino (421 – 12 Avenue SE) is a multi-level room with tons of space to dance, mingle and enjoy a cocktail. The new space is more modern, but it still has elements that take you back to the original Cowboys.
With a huge stage and state-of-the-art sound system, expect Cowboys to be bringing you some great bands and live acts. Different nights during the week will also offer special events, making it a great place to check out if you are looking to have some fun any night of the week. Of course there will also be the expected country tunes, so you can work on your two-stepping moves.
The Casino will also feature Melrose Cafe and Bar (the original location is on 17 Ave in the heart of the Red Mile), and Zen 8 Sushi.
With it being such a staple in the city, we definitely suggest you make a point of checking it out when out of town guests are visiting. Prince Harry infamously visited it when he was in Calgary a few years ago, so you know they have some clout.
It’s exciting to have Cowboys open again. How can you not expect it to be a good time when their tagline is “The Most Fun You Can Have With Your Boots On”?
