Event Recap: Ad Ball 2013

On Thursday, January 31st, the fourth annual Ad Ball saw some of the advertising industry’s finest let loose at the Mod Club to explore the roaring 20s for a Great Gatsby-themed party. The attire included no shortage of headpieces, feathers, fedoras, tweed, short dresses and bare legs, despite the frigid temperature.

Sponsored by Rogers, Scotiabank, Ad Club and Peroni, highlights of this year’s Ad Ball included a French Connection fashion show, ample hors d’œuvres, an aerial show and an impossible-to-turn-away-from special performance by extreme electric violinist Dr. Draw, which was unlike anything we had seen. 

The event is the social highlight of Toronto Ad Week, a seminar and cocktail party-filled week dedicated specifically to the advertising and marketing industries and a networking dream for young people.
