Escape to Le Grand Lodge

Mont Tremblant, a resort town north of Montreal, is well known as a popular winter destination. In addition to its majestic ski mountains, however, Mont Tremblant also has much to offer in the summer months. For the young professional looking to get away from the hubbub of the busy city, one of Tremblant’s top hotels, Le Grand Lodge, offers a quiet rustic getaway outside of the bustling Tremblant village.

Whether for a romantic retreat or a low-key golf getaway, Le Grand Lodge is located on the quiet shores of Lac Ouimet and offers the perfect home base for those seeking a truly relaxing experience. Le Grand Lodge has all that the young professional could want: private beach, lake-side bar, award-winning restaurant, whiskey lounge, spa services, shuttles to town and nearby golf courses, and the very notable log cabin architecture.

We suggest taking time out of your hectic life to enjoy la belle province at its finest, at Le Grand Lodge. After checking into your suite, go for a stroll to the water’s edge. Breathe in the clean air, enjoy the serene view, and order a quick beachside snack of tangy calamari and perhaps a cool cocktail. Next, head on out for an afternoon golf game; Le Diable golf course is beyond breathtaking and certainly challenging. Upon your return to the lodge, try out a relaxing lakeside foot massage before heading on in to the Chez Borivage restaurant. Indulge in a tender Angus steak, local pork medallions, or any of their other high-end, seasonal dishes, accompanied by your favorite wine.  When the sun sets behind the Laurentian Mountains, head out to the warm fire, and partake in some good old-fashioned marshmallow roasting. Before retiring for the evening, make your way to the whiskey lounge and have a chat with the friendly bar keep over a smooth digestif.

For the remainder of your retreat, spend your time lazing about on one of the hotel’s kayaks or peddle boats, or head into the village for some easy shopping or a refreshing mountain hike.

Though Le Grand Lodge is certainly grand, when we use the term “rustic” to describe our experience there, we mean it.  The rooms, though large and well stocked, are quite basic. This is not a bad thing in our books, however, as we enjoy indulging in the authentic lake-life ambience. Additionally, we should also note that Le Grand Lodge is also notable as an all-inclusive wedding venue, offering romantic lakeside ceremonies, cocktail hour on the beach, and fully catered reception.

As we head into the best part of the year for weather, what better way to escape your busy week than to make your way out to Mont Tremblant for some much deserved relaxation. Take your partner or some friends and go spend some time at Le Grand Lodge.
