13 year-old Canadian Sydney Bourbeau got the surprise of her life at the mall the other day.
The young girl was singing Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ as a part of a musical fundraiser for the Edmonton Humane Society when she gained an impromptu duet partner.
The British pop-star was in the mall at the time and heard the young girl singing across the hall and decided to join her on stage. The video shows Sheeran joining her on stage and they finish the song together, while Sydney looks clearly starstruck (and very happy).
Afterwards she told the newspaper it was “the best thing that ever happened to her”.
So far as things go for a 13 year old, she’s probably not lying.
We have a feeling a lot of teenagers may be showing up at malls to sing songs by their favourite artists soon.
